About the role DP World is looking for a proactive Packaging Engineer to support operational efficiency, packaging optimisation, and material flow across site operations. In this role, you will contribute to the development and improvement of packaging solutions, support engineering and operational teams, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities Analyse operational and material flow data to identify opportunities for productivity and efficiency improvements Recommend and implement error-proofing methods, technologies, and process enhancements Conduct time studies and data analysis to support benchmarking, metrics, and performance standards Support Operations from an engineering perspective to resolve issues in a timely manner Lead packaging improvement initiatives at work-cell level, including packaging studies and system effectiveness reviews Develop and maintain packaging standards and improve existing packaging solutions Provide regular packaging inventory updates and recommendations based on usage trends Maintain and update packaging instructions within internal systems and SAP/AOS Coordinate and analyse material flow in line with production schedules Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations What we are looking for Qualifications & experience Degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience) Background in logistics, engineering, or packaging environments Experience documenting processes, changes, and project requirements Understanding of supply chain concepts, production workflows, and automotive logistics Familiarity with SAP/AOS and strong Microsoft Office skills Fluent English and Slovak Preferred Knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies (VSM, CI, Kaizen, Six Sigma) MTM or time-study methodology experience Skills & competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships Detail-oriented with strong process mindset Customer-focused and improvement-driven approach Ability to adapt in a fast-paced operational environment Compensation DP World offers exciting and challenging roles within a growing international organization. Responsibilities
The Packaging Engineer will analyze operational data to identify efficiency improvements and recommend/implement error-proofing methods and process enhancements across site operations. Key duties include leading packaging improvement initiatives, developing packaging standards, and maintaining relevant system documentation.
