Our colleagues throughout 25 countries around the world work as one team, driving advancements that help our customers get the most from every vehicle, every ride, every race and every journey.   We are looking for a Packaging Engineer who will be responsible for the design and implementation of new packaging and revisions to existing packaging items along with advising on internal packaging operations.   The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. We pride ourselves on moving through processes quickly, and you can be sure of transparency and prompt communication throughout.   RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, test, and implement packaging designs that are integral in product development process Review and improve existing packaging methods to ensure cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction Create and implement SOR (statement of requirements) of packaging processes/methods to ensure product arrives at end customer free of damage Collaborate with internal resources (branding, marketing, product, engineering, etc) and packaging suppliers to accomplish packaging goals Manage businesses cases on packaging related changes to provide leadership positive/negative costs impacts covering entire process from start to finish Compiles, stores, and retrieves packaging and production data Strong emphasis on problem solving Ability to work in a fast-paced production and distribution environment   Education: Bachelor’s Degree in packaging or a related field or equivalent work experience   Skills & Experience: This position requires a self-motivated, flexible individual with the following skills: Experienced in other aspects of engineering such as process improvement. Excellent communication skills, demonstrated project management as well as a solid understanding of commodity strategies Proven ability to proactively establish rapport, credibility and influence, and drive results throughout an organization, at all levels and across departments. This individual must be resourceful, adaptable, analytical and results oriented with high energy and a positive attitude Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) BS degree in packaging preferred 3-5 years packaging experience (automotive is a plus) Experience with ArtiosCAD and CAPE software is a plus SAP experience preferred Highly proficient in spoken and written English Compensation:   The base pay for this position generally ranges between $80,000 - $130,000. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package.
