Scope of Position: The Packaging Engineer Manager develops accurate, manufacturable packaging designs and prototypes that meet customer objectives while maintaining proper documentation and compliance with internal and industry standards. The manager will oversee projects utilizing paperboard, rigid box, and turned-edge constructions while ensuring quality, cost, and manufacturability. This role collaborates closely with customers and internal teams to communicate design intent and support projects from concept through production. Responsibilities: * Lead and mentor a team of designers while remaining hands on in day-to-day design work * Set priorities, balance team workloads and deliver projects on time  * Promote innovation and continuous improvement in materials, sustainability and packaging performance * Provide strategic oversight, ensuring packaging designs meet quality standards and operational objectives * Engage with customer representative to identify design requirements and objectives * Develop and produce prototypes, mockups, and samples using cutting tables and other fabrication tools * Maintain detailed and organized project records, including file naming conventions, part numbering and project management system updates * Apply knowledge or retail environments, packaging specifications and client brand guidelines to design decisions * Communicate design development progress and timelines to internal and external stakeholders * Participate in and when required, lead cross functional project review meetings * Interpret and apply USPS regulations and other relevant standard in packaging design * Proficiency in interpreting and producing 2D and 3D structural packaging drawings, including accurate, production-ready die-lines * Ensure design operations align with established Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) * Perform any other duties as required Qualifications Required: * High school diploma or equivalent * At least 7 years of experience in Rigid Box * Proficient in ArtiosCAD software * Strong working knowledge of Office Suite * Knowledge of raw materials, die-cutting and finishing processes, quality control standards, and production cost awareness * Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills * Proven customer service orientation with the ability to translate needs into technical design outcomes * Effective project management and organizational skills Preferred: * 2 years of college in a related field preferred * At least 5 years of experience in structural packaging with demonstrated leadership or project ownership experience * Experience with Cimex Die-Making software  * Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
