About the Role As part of our dynamic, growth-driven team, we’re seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to install new equipment and perform maintenance and repair services for our customers. Candidates should live within a 1.5-hour commute of any major airport for easy access to our customers. What You’ll Do Upon hire, you will enter the Reiser "FIRST" program that provides extensive training on our flagship product line(s). Install new packaging and processing machinery and perform routine maintenance and on-site repairs. Troubleshoot and resolve issues by applying your expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems. Travel 80% (during the week and with potential weekends on customer requests) away from home-seeing food plants. You will spend approximately the majority of your time throughout the US for the first 1-2 years and then will be focused on helping the entire country. We try to have this person support the equipment in the region that they live in, but flexibility is needed based on where customers have equipment installed. Read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications and service manuals to determine work procedures. Engage with customers on site, analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot to isolate problems, and determine actions needed to restore system to performance specifications. Share information with team members, customers, and your supervisor to help prioritize and keep customers apprised of corrective actions and equipment status. Inform customers of routine preventive maintenance techniques. Participate as necessary in new projects to install or improve the safety and performance of existing and new equipment. Requirements What You Bring Two plus years of maintenance experience -- servicing, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical machinery. Practical application of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and techniques to ensure equipment performance at manufacturers specifications. Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyor systems, or control systems. Initiative, critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgement and decision making, persistence, attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, concern for others and leadership. 80% travel during the week – mostly on the West Coast by automobile or plane Food Packaging Machinery experience is desired. Bilingual English - Spanish skills are preferred. Location is flexible if someone is Spanish speaking – native or fluent preference. Why Reiser?
