Description Sets up and operates packaging machinery. Adhere to food safety objectives and work to uphold Cadillac Coffee’s food safety and quality system. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Adhere to company work rules, policies and safety regulations. Follow all GMP and Food Safety guidelines. Has the ability to stop their production line and notify their supervisor if food safety issues or concerns arise. Refers to Coffee Recipe book to ensure all product is packaged according to specifications. Sets up and operates machine according to training instructions. Makes minor adjustments including tracking adjustments. Properly seals and palletizes all cases. Replenishes packaging supplies such as film, boxes, labels, and tape if needed. Records number of cases produced on production sheet and sends them to receiving door with skid tag. Properly records downtime log. Assists co-workers. Assists in other areas of the plant and performs duties as directed by manager or lead person. Assists in general clean-up of building and equipment. Help with rework and hand pack. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar and line graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
