Position Description Title: Pouch Operator Department: Operations Immediate Supervisor: Manufacturing Manager Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Position Purpose: Operates Pouch 1 & 2 and produces bubble pouches Principle Accountabilities Responsible to set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment and processes. Ensure first offs are completed as per technical specifications. Ensure changeover is completed as per standard. Ensure equipment and set-up parameters are established, followed, and improved. Coaching and mentoring of assistants and helpers by providing clear and precise instructions, if assigned Ensure materials required for changeover are available and secured prior to set-ups. Ensure product is packed and identified as per specifications. Ensure accurate inventory and effective control of materials and supplies. Ensure work-center’s downtime is minimized by ensuring proper equipment set-ups, material is present prior to changeover and report lack of raw materials, tooling and / or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel. Oversee the assistants and helpers/packers and provide clear and precise instructions to them. All duties outlined in the assistant job description. All other duties as assigned. Essential Skills and Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent required. 2+ Years in a Manufacturing environment / machine operator experience preferred. Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary. Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis. Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis General computer knowledge and experience handling paperwork Effective interpersonal skills Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role following recommended practices, with an emphasis on safety and injury prevention Inventory experience preferred Why Choose IPG? Responsibilities
