Description

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Technology, Materials Science or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the development or commercialization of materials and/or packaging, preferably at a consumer products company.
  • Knowledge of materials such as paper, paperboard, plastics and films.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability utilizing sound scientific principles to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Functional understanding of materials, manufacturing process and sustainability.
  • Detail oriented and clear communicator of technical information to various audiences.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication, project management and presentation skills.
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Lead initiatives and collaborate cross functionally with Operations, Marketing, Procurement, Engineering and suppliers to drive successful commercialization of new materials and packaging solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership in corporate initiatives, including cost reduction efforts, manufacturing efficiencies and material related issues.
  • Lead material and support machine qualification in manufacturing
  • Define specification of materials and packaging utilized for commercial production
  • Develop, test, and implement packaging and materials that meet commercial and product requirements.
  • Lead multiple projects under demanding timelines while maintaining appropriate and required project documentation.
  • Provide technical recommendations on packaging and materials sustainability.
