This position offers the opportunity to engage in a collaborative environment where you will make a personal impact every day.  GNC is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Packaging Production Artist to join our creative team. This role is responsible for bringing packaging designs to life by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and print readiness across all product lines. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for layout, typography, and color management, along with a solid understanding of prepress and production processes. What You’ll Do: This is a Full-Time Salary Position The Packaging Production Artist is responsible for accurately translating approved design concepts into production-ready packaging and print files. This role supports the product development and packaging creative process by ensuring brand consistency, technical accuracy, and efficient execution of artwork across multiple formats. Key responsibilities include creating packaging files from concept, revising through the project workflow and working closely with packaging project managers, product development and packaging creative teams.   This position requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with regulatory elements such as 21 CFR, NLEA, DSHEA, print minimum requirements, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. * Support the Packaging Project Managers by maintaining open communication and ensuring the efficient flow of packaging and print production projects for GNC owned brand products across all business units. * Process & Execution: * Support the design and production of packaging materials by applying strong layout, typesetting, and formatting skills. * Ensure production artwork is created and revised to follow established brand standards for consistency across various print formats. * Work closely with packaging project managers and packaging creative teams to complete projects from initiation through final production, staying aligned with timelines and project requirements. * Create or modify dielines, design elements, and templates to fit new or existing product formats. * Perform basic image retouching, color correction, silhouetting (clipping paths), and adjustments for print production needs. * Organize, name, and archive projects on the server following department protocols. * Creative & Content Process * Manage and execute the development of templates from supplied design concepts * Maintain and update packaging art files, including high-volume copy and facts panel updates, barcode changes, and artwork revisions from multiple sources. * Stay current on relevant graphic software (Adobe Creative Suite) and production tools; proactively develop technical skills as needed. * Understand and follow standard print production processes, including file preparation, proofing, prepress, and final release. * Collaborate with team members to gather input, share updates, and deliver final production assets that meet creative, technical, and budgetary goals. * Assist in the management and archiving of graphic and production assets. * Work efficiently on multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards. * Timing * Collaborate with Packaging Product Manager to meet new launch timelines and phased-in roll-out plan of updated packaging to minimize liabilities and timeline delays. * Ensure timely and accurate production of label files including labels, cartons, shrink sleeves, bags / pouches, shippers, inserts and other potential product related packaging. * Trafficking Tool: * Actively learn and share abilities and functionality of current and future project management trafficking tools. * Perform other duties as assigned. Environmental Factors & Working Schedule: * Hybrid work environment, 2-3 days in-person attendance (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely. * Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear * Sedentary work. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor’s Degree in Design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * 2–4 years of production design or packaging experience in a creative or retail marketing environment preferred. * Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for both design and production; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook. * Solid understanding of layout, typography, print specifications, prepress standards, and aesthetic design principles. * Familiarity with dielines, packaging constraints, facts panels, and versioning requirements. * Knowledge of FDA labeling regulations preferred, but not required. * An understanding of flexographic, offset lithography, and digital printing processes and their production requirements. * Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across teams. * Experience with retouching, color correction, and. * Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to maintaining a high standard of quality. * Comfortable working independently or as part of a team. * Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management. *
