Founded in 2012, Lancaster Technologies Inc. (LTI) is located in the beautiful Niagara Region, our manufacturing facility in Fort Erie, Ontario is just minutes from the Canada-US border. We specialize in the manufacture of solid dose tablets, both in chewable and caplet form. We also provide packaging solutions, including high speed bottling, induction sealing & capping, labeling, cartoning and fulfillment.
In addition to manufacturing solutions, we provide add-on services to our clients, including the procurement of packaging and raw materials and logistic solutions.
LTI. has the need to add to our pool of Production workers, for our packaging and manufacturing areas, who are willing to work on a mix of scheduled and on-call basis. Work assignments are normally Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts. However, depending on the staffing requirements at the time, being scheduled from week to week is not guaranteed. This position would be suitable for a person who does not mind part-time work in a light manufacturing/packaging plant environment. This position would not be suitable for a person who is looking for steady, full-time work, or a single shift job. Weekly hours will typically average 24 hours, but may range from 0 to 40+ depending on seasonal cyclical production demands.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
· OSSD or equivalent
· 1-2 years of industrial work experience (assembly line preferred) is an asset
· ability and desire to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment
· perform work assignments adhering to documented work instructions
· set up, operate, and maintain a variety of equipment to assemble, inspect and evaluate parts per accepted company or industry standards
· perform visual inspections of specific equipment and tools required for each task or assignment
· verify weights and measure of components and materials used
· follow all applicable specifications and procedures regarding the performance of operations
· use all required safety equipment and follow established safety procedures
· report all issues and safety concerns immediately
· actively participate in process improvements, corrective actions and continuous improvement projects
· support and apply team concepts in daily activities
· forklift licence an asset
· ability to read and understand the metric measuring system
· ability to work in full personal protective equipment - Tyvek suit, hood, mask, respirators
· demonstrated ability to perform functions requiring fine motor control and attention to detail
· must be willing to work shifts, part days, non-consecutive shifts
· supply own safety footwear (as stipulated by company)
· other duties as assigned
