JC Green Inc. is a privately-owned and operated licensed cannabis producer. We specialize in growing small-batch, hand crafted cannabis as well as moderate-scale outdoor cannabis farming. Our cannabis is unique in both the varieties we offer and the location where we operate – the former Leesboro Central School building in rural Thorndale, Ontario. Operating under the Jonny Chronic brand, we continue to grow into new markets while broadening our overall portfolio of flower, pre-rolls and extracts (vapes, infused pre-rolls), all produced and packaged at our Thorndale facility.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packaging QA Technician to join our team. The Packaging QA Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of all packaging operations, documentation, and materials prior to product release. This role plays a critical part in maintaining regulatory and internal quality standards throughout the packaging and distribution process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in science, quality, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a QA/QC role within packaging, manufacturing, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with GPP an asset
  • Familiarity with documentation practices and quality systems an asset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook/Word/Excel)
Responsibilities
  • Perform and document bulk lot and finished package release in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Review and approve primary product labels to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct routine quality audits of packaging and shipping processes to verify adherence to SOPs and GPP.
  • Follow up on packaging documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely completion.
  • Monitor and assist in reporting and investigating packaging deviations, including documentation and corrective actions.
  • Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) documents for product distribution.
