At Michigan Sugar, our purpose is Making Life Sweeter, and our mission is Creating Growth and Opportunity.   Michigan Sugar Company has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Packaging & Warehouse Supervisor, located at the Fremont, OH facility.   Job Summary: The P&W Manager oversees the end-to-end operations of a sugar receiving, storing, and packaging facility. This includes inbound receipt of bulk and packaged sugar, storage in silos and warehouses, packaging, inventory management, and outbound shipping. Ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, and cost-effective operations across multiple shifts while directly leading a unionized hourly workforce. The P&W Manager drives performance through strong labor relations, adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF), OSHA compliance, and continuous improvement. The P&W Manager is accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and budgetary targets.   Primary Responsibilities: * Champion safety leadership and zero-incident culture. Ensure full compliance with OSHA, GMP, HACCP, food safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Keep the facility audit-ready at all times for internal, customer, or third-party audits. Conduct self-audits and provide training as needed.   * Recruit, train, and motivate staff. Liaise with production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and senior leadership to align on goals and resolve issues.   * Lead, coach, and supervise hourly union employees.  Strictly adhere to the CBA, handle grievances and disciplinary actions per contract terms, manage attendance/vacations, and build positive labor relations. Identify training and develop talent as needed.   * Track and report KPIs (safety metrics, quality, inventory accuracy, throughput, labor productivity, maintenance, budgetary, and on-time shipping). Prepare budgets, management reports, and variance analyses. Drive process improvements and cost reductions.   * Manage bulk receiving and loading (railcar and trucks). Oversee packaging, order fulfillment, shipping accuracy, and carrier coordination for on-time deliveries   * Direct operations across all shifts. Ensure smooth shift handovers via shift change meetings, establish and communicate consistent performance standards.   * Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and material flow. Coordinate preventive maintenance for packaging equipment, handling systems, and silos. Lead reliability and capital projects as assigned.   * Inventory management (bulk sugar, packaged sugar, supplies, etc).
