Description
Warehouse Packers play a pivotal role in ensuring all orders are kitted and or packed with high accuracy to speed up the timeliness of our deliveries and ensure customer satisfaction with both products and packing. In this function you will: Verify styles and quantities of materials picked. Visually inspect products, scanning and place in kitting or shipping carton. Place packing material shipping carton to minimize potential of product damage during shipping. Accurately place packing lists, content labels and kitting / shipping labels where appropriate. Track and maintain inventory integrity at the workstation for all work orders and or deliveries in process. Handle cranes and other lifting equipment, including control of lifting machinery buttons, levers, and pedals. Ensure finished kits / packages are complete and meet quality standards and verify all paperwork necessary is packed with kit. Follow written and oral instructions. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and good housekeeping. Maintain quality workmanship, observe safety procedures, report unsafe acts, and perform work of equal of lower classification if necessary. Ability to use computer keyboard with basic functionality and RF scanner required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance and continuously be able to lift. Continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Capable of using manual equipment such as carts, hand truck or pallet jack. Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain). Minimum of 1-2 years of experience applying quality tools in a warehouse/distribution center and or manufacturing environment. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50-mile radius) will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must have High School diploma or GED from accredited institution Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment Position Criteria: Must be able to work specific shift hours and have flexibility to work overtime based on customer demand.
