Job Details Job Location: Commercial Sewing, Inc. - Torrington, CT 06790 Position Type: Full Time - Non-exempt Summary Reporting to the Packing Supervisor, this position is responsible for the inspection, assembling, welding and packing of finished goods for the shipping department Essential Functions Operate to the guidelines set forth in the Packing procedure. Ensure completion of time sheet and submitting to supervisor each day. Review work order pack notes for packing and inspecting requirement Inspect product per CSI’s inspection procedure. Contribute to the Packing team with suggestions and opportunities for continuous improvement. Responsibilities Ensures own production conforms to requirements of quality and schedule. Inspects input/output quality requirements on all units processed. Follows approved procedures to complete all tasks. Maintains quotas or notifies supervisor or line leader when unable to do so. Maintains work area in a clean, repaired and organized manner. Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate. Performs duties in other areas as needed. Qualifications Education & Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 1 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Equipment Used Chop saw, drill press, snap machines, grommet machine, rivet machine, glue machine, hot glue guns, heat sealers, transport cover rolling machine.
