JOB CONTEXT:

Calleva is a European leader in the development, manufacture and packing of specialist sport, health, and wellbeing products. Based in North Petherton, Bridgwater. As we grow, we are looking to expand our Production Team.

JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Packing Team Leader, Packing Operatives are responsible for ensuring that orders are accurately fulfilled and are packed to a high standard prior to shipment.
We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable individuals to assist with the packing of filled products into retail packaging and shippers.

MAIN TASKS/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Correctly set up, change over, and shut down packing station for effective production and cleaning.

• Efficiently operate the packing line according to work instructions.
• Check packing instructions and stock for the correct pallet formation.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
• Conduct relevant Quality Control (QC) checks.
• Complete and record all paperwork accurately.
• Clean the line and work area in accordance with work instructions.
• Perform daily safety checks.
• Take a high level of personal responsibility and comply with the Food Safety and Quality management system procedures.
• Adhere to Health & Safety procedures and good working practices.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· To engage fully with the values and community of Calleva Limited. There is an expectation to attend and actively participate in staff meetings and training events when appropriate and/or required.
· To attend meetings with line manager.
· Abide by health and safety guidelines and share responsibility for own safety and that of colleagues.
· Carry out any other appropriate tasks requested by the manager, to ensure the effective outputs are met.
