Description
The Packer position at Hillandale Farms is responsible for packaging eggs in containers as well as inspecting during that process to ensure quality.   Essential Job Functions * The person in this role must be dependable and ready to work at the start of their shift.   * Eggs that are not able to be packed are removed from line and disposed of accordingly * Packs eggs on racks, pallets or in boxes per processing/customer schedule and customer requirements * Ensures code dates on cartons are legible, and label requirements are met including information on label and actual placement * Places finished product boxes on appropriate pallet as they come through the machine. * Must maintain a clean, safe and productive work area throughout the day  * Will adhere to Hillandale’s safety practices, follow and encourage Hillandale’s Good Manufacturing Practices  * Responsible for reporting and incidents and/or observations seen or noticed that may impact food safety, food quality or personnel safety to management immediately * Perform other duties as assigned.   Qualifications * Fluent in English and Spanish * Conduct self in a professional manner * Reliable and team player     Physical Requirements  * Must be able to lift up to 50lbs * Prolong periods of standing * Twisting, bending and kneeling         The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work.  It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities and may be revised at any time.
