Description

The Packer position at Hillandale Farms is responsible for packaging eggs in containers as well as inspecting during that process to ensure quality. Essential Job Functions * The person in this role must be dependable and ready to work at the start of their shift. * Eggs that are not able to be packed are removed from line and disposed of accordingly * Packs eggs on racks, pallets or in boxes per processing/customer schedule and customer requirements * Ensures code dates on cartons are legible, and label requirements are met including information on label and actual placement * Places finished product boxes on appropriate pallet as they come through the machine. * Must maintain a clean, safe and productive work area throughout the day * Will adhere to Hillandale’s safety practices, follow and encourage Hillandale’s Good Manufacturing Practices * Responsible for reporting and incidents and/or observations seen or noticed that may impact food safety, food quality or personnel safety to management immediately * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Fluent in English and Spanish * Conduct self in a professional manner * Reliable and team player Physical Requirements * Must be able to lift up to 50lbs * Prolong periods of standing * Twisting, bending and kneeling The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work.
