DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the foreman, the job of the Packer/Tractor Disc Operator is to ensure the compaction of soil as well as turning the soil to dry the soil for compaction.

Packer Operator Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to operate a variety of packing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be familiar with aspects of road construction and compaction of soil.
  • Willing to help ground personnel when required.
  • Preform pre and post trip inspections on the unit.
  • Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

Packer Operator Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 seasons as a Packer Operator.
  • Understand the issues involving ground disturbance.
