EDUCATION/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating haul/rock trucks in a construction or mining setting
  • Understanding of safe hauling techniques and load limits
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and challenging terrain
  • Safety certifications such as CSTS-09/2020, WHMIS and Ground Disturbance 201
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and ability to pass pre-employment requirements
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Packer / Rock Truck Operators to join our team on a civil earthworks projects in Northeastern BC. The ideal candidates have a strong background in operating haul trucks in rugged, off-road construction environments and take pride in working safely, efficiently, and as part of a collaborative team. This project is expected to run for about one month, with work starting right away!. Candidates must be available to work a 24/4 schedule, 10–12 hours per day for the duration of the project. Ideal candidates live in or close to Dawson Creek and can commute to Gordondale, AB.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of materials across the job site, supporting earthmoving operations and contributing to the overall success of the project.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate a rock truck safely and efficiently on heavy civil construction projects
  • Haul materials such as rock, gravel, and fill between loading and dumping locations
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Follow site traffic plans, signals, and radio communication protocols
  • Work closely with ground crews, equipment operators, and site supervisors
  • Assist with other labour or equipment tasks as required
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and industry best practices
