We are currently looking to fill the position of: Packer/Tractor Operator:
In our fleet, we have various farm tractors with attachments and packers of various sizes and brands.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven Experience: You’ve got at least 3-5 years of experience operating packers and tractors in a construction setting. Whether it’s for site prep, grading, or compaction, you’re comfortable using these machines to get the job done right.
- Compaction Know-How: You know how to operate a padfoot or smooth drum roller to achieve the perfect compaction, ensuring the foundation is solid and ready for the next phase of construction.
- Tractor Skills: Whether it’s disking, packing, or smoothing site out, you know how to operate a tractor in a variety of settings, from rough terrain to tight spaces. Experience switching between attachments is a huge plus!
- Safety First: You’re committed to safety. You follow all safety protocols, conduct pre-shift inspections, and maintain your equipment to ensure everything stays in top working condition. You know how to spot potential hazards and avoid them before they become a problem.
- Physical Stamina: Operating heavy machinery can be physically demanding, and you’re ready for long shifts, unpredictable weather, and the challenges of a busy construction site.
- Effective Communication: Clear communication is key! Whether you’re coordinating with the foreman, other operators, or the crew, you’re able to communicate effectively to keep the job on track.
