Description

CNC Recruitment is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Packing Line Leader to join a leading food production site based in Cricket St Thomas. This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for overseeing packing line operations, ensuring that cheese products are correctly packed, weighed, labelled, and meet all quality and safety standards.
Job type - Temp to perm
Working hours - Monday to Friday, day shift, Overtime available
Salary - between £14.30 and £17.88 per hour,

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Essential:
    Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
    Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

  • Key Skills:

Strong communication and team leadership skills.
Good numeracy and basic IT literacy.
Time management and organisational abilities.

Ability to work independently and make effective decisions under pressure.

  • Knowledge & Certifications (training provided if required):

Level 2 Food Hygiene
Level 2 HACCP
Basic Health & Safety awareness
Manual handling and chemical safety knowledge

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team on the packing line, ensuring daily targets and production schedules are met.
Monitor product quality, ensuring all items meet company and customer specifications.
Operate and oversee packing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
Conduct routine checks to ensure hygiene, food safety, and health & safety standards are maintained.
Complete necessary documentation and records, including production logs, CCP monitoring, and quality checks.
Address and report any non-conformances, initiating corrective actions where required.
Maintain a clean and organised working environment in line with company policies.
Support and contribute to site audits and inspections.
Communicate effectively with team members and management, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
