Our Low Risk Packing department is a vital part of our process here at Oscar Mayer, ensuring that the ingredients for our Ready Meals are assembled to the correct standards to meet our customers criteria.
Within our department, there are various sections, of which you could be working in. This ranges from Packing products from a packing line, Moving pallets into storage areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must at least be 18 years old to work at Oscar Mayer Flint
  • Experience within food manufacturing, food handling/preparation or catering (Desirable)
  • Ability and experience using a computer (Essential)
  • Good understanding of verbal and written English language (Essential)
  • Experience with KPI’s and working to targets
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions and processes
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Packing of ready meals on a production line process using a variety of industrial machines and processes.
  • Handling products and storing in correct areas.
  • Certain roles include using computer systems to manage food packing operations.
  • You must be able to follow step by step processes and record your activities both on paper and on our systems

· Stores finished product in dedicated areas, making sure that they maintain freshness and quality

  • Informs supervisors when the machinery does not work properly
  • Clear understanding of food hygiene regulations
  • Cleans and sanitises the working surfaces, tools, utensils and working area
  • Carefully supervises the food temperature and maintain records
  • Once trained, ensure satisfactory knowledge of the products produced by the factory
  • Acceptable knowledge of safety and health principles
  • Capability to comprehend and follow quality control techniques
  • Ability to utilise diverse machines and possession of practical aptitude
  • Sound communication aptitude in delivering beneficial teamwork
  • Must be precise, careful, patient with the ability to work under pressure
