MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To meet the needs of the day to day packing operation through the optimum use of resources at their disposal, providing bagged finished product to the warehouse, enabling it to meet the customer and inter-mill demand. The shift pattern for this role is 37.32 per week on a rotating shift pattern consisting of days, afternoons and nights.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Set the plant up for receipt of finished flours to meet the requirements of the packing plan
· Ensure that the packing bins are set correctly for the receipt of the flour
· Ensure that packing consumables are drawn off in a timely fashion to meet the needs of the manufacturing plan
· Ensure that an adequate supply of paper sacks and other packing consumables are available in the packing area
· Reporting of any issues affecting performance and/or quality
· Undertake maintenance activities as required
· Ensure the supply of bagged flour to meet the requirements of the Warehouse
· Ensure the application of HACCP and other procedures (GMP’s) to maintain product integrity
· Ensure that packing consumables and finished products are handled in accordance with company process standards
· Co-operate and work with the cleaning teams to give an integrated approach to plant hygiene
· Flour testing to ensure customers specifications are being adhered to

· Previous experience in a food manufacturing production environment
