Who is Nut Producers Australia?
Nut Producers Australia (NPA) is an almond and pistachio processing and marketing business with a charter to maximise returns to growers and has an annual turnover more than $100 million. The business is a collective of three companies: NPA, the marketing and administration company based in Adelaide, Riverland Almonds in Loxton, Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company based in Robinvale, Vic. As a separate and complementary channel, NPA also carries on the business of product trading to add to the growth of the business.
About the company
Riverland Almonds (RA) is one of the three major handlers of almonds in Australia. The South Australian company had its beginnings in 1986 in Renmark. New and increased plantings on the southern side of the River Murray led to the establishment of a new factory in 1997 at Loxton. The new state of the art, custom built, stand alone, facility has been modelled on the best facilities in California, where over 70 per cent of the world’s almonds are grown and processed.

• Maintain packing of stock at levels that meet scheduled completion timing.
• Apply a print sample to the Batch Change Record and have approved to QAI.
• Ensure product is palletised correctly and safely prior to moving to warehouse.
• Operate and adjust carton printer machines as listed.
• Responsible for initial and ongoing monitoring of packing processes during production.
• Raise a CAR for any non-conformance detected.
• Perform metal detector testing during production and record.
• Complete and record checks of finished product including pallet/Bag ID, start and finish time.
• Advise QAS where packaging stock received do not meet specification.
• Check dust collection bins and empty into bulk collection bag at E. Sort.
• Ensure all foreign objects found are reported.
• Report any food safety issues.
• Ensure packaging KPI’s are met.
• Forklift operations if appropriate high risk license is held
