As Packing Systems Technician, you will ensure the systems and machinery within our packing facility operate efficiently and effectively to support our packing requirements. This is a Monday to Friday shift position- alternating from 6am-2pm one week, to 2pm-10pm the following week.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (e.g. Mechanical/Maintenance Technician or Mechanical Engineer) or a completed Engineering qualification
  • Computer literate. Experience with SEA Vision is highly preferred
  • Proactive and collaborative nature, likes to work as part of a team to achieve a common goal
  • Ability to work on-site according to the shift pattern

Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Act as the SME for vision systems and line settings, optimising article creation and subsequent operation, and resolving serialisation system issues to minimise downtime.
  • Operational Support: Provide direct involvement in on-line packing operations to identify and implement continuous improvement activities for mechanical and computerised systems.
  • Fault Investigation and Rectification: Develop and maintain a fault-finding/resolution database and provide training materials for timely issue resolution.
  • Recipe and Label Management: Prepare and maintain product recipes, generate labels, and support new product recipes for EU, US, and global requirements.
  • Packing Trials and Validation: Own packing trials and support ongoing validation activities to introduce new products.
  • System Development and Liaison: Communicate and recommend actions on mechanical or serialisation issues to the Packing Manager, Team Leader, and Automation Team, and liaise with system suppliers for ongoing development and support.
