Description
Pro-Active Engineering, a leader in Printed Circuit Board assembly, has an opening for a Machine Technician. The Machine Technician programs, operates, and maintains automated production equipment. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.    Essential Functions  1. Adhere to the company's ISO Quality Management System. 2. Program automated production equipment. 3. Run and operate automated production equipment. 4. Perform preventative maintenance on automated production equipment 5. Troubleshoot automated production equipment either through personal knowledge or communicating with the manufacturers of the equipment. 6. Order and maintain stock for spare parts of the automated production equipment 7. Train machine operators on how to appropriately operate the automated production equipment. 8. Ensure work area is kept clean and free of debris. 9. Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. 10. Teamwork Oriented Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to working near moving mechanical parts and caustic fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Physical Demands 1. Prolonged periods of sitting or standing. 2. Physically able to work with hands,  3. Good dexterity with small parts and repetitive motion. 4. Ability to see color and read small product labels.  5. Ability to bend, kneel, etc.  6. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time. 7. Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.     Required Education and Experience 1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED) 2. Knowledge of electronic components and equipment. 3. Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Education and Experience 1. Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 2. Knowledge of electronic components and equipment. 3. Knowledge of IPC.    Preferred Education and Experience 1. Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
