This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Paediatric Consultant Team based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary with an expectation to work across all our hospital sites. We are looking for 3 enthusiastic and forward-looking permanent Paediatric Consultants, 2 with a Special Interest in Neonatology and 1 with a Special Interest in Respiratory Medicine who will contribute to further development and delivery of exceptional care of the Paediatric Service.
Applications are welcome from anyone possessing, or within 6 months of receiving, a CCST in Paediatrics at the time of commencing employment and who have the appropriate skills and experience within a Paediatric Unit and SPIN module as a minimum in the area of Specialist Interest.
To share responsibility with consultant colleagues for the provision of integrated Paediatric medical services across Children’s Services on both sites.
To work with the multi-disciplinary team providing Clinical Services on different trust sites.
To provide supervision, training and support specifically to resident doctors but also to other members of the nursing and medical teams across Children’s Services. This also includes undergraduate teaching and workplace-based assessments.
To be actively involved with the planning and development of the service, in conjunction with the Clinical Director, General Manager and colleagues across the Division.
To be committed to actively participating in clinical work with a robust evidence base and consistent with professional consensus views.
To maintain a high standard of record keeping in accordance with Trust guidelines.
