Description:
Are you an enthusiastic, motivated dietitian looking to start or progress your paediatric career in a supportive, learning environment?
We have a full time band 6 acute paediatric vacancy at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QE) in Woolwich that could be perfect for you.
You would be joining our team of 13 paediatric dietitians within our diverse department of 60 dietitians, nutrition nurse specialists, speech and language therapists, dietitian support workers and team administrators who work across our hospital and community services.
We welcome applications from dietitians working at band 5 or 6, and will consider candidates with little or no paediatric experience; we will offer full support and training to help you develop and flourish in this role.

The post holder will work with our Band 7 Paediatric Dietitian at QEH providing a specialist paediatric dietetic service including paediatric oncology and HDU working as an integral part of the MDT.

Responsibilities:
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: -
Working on the children’s ward including supporting the new 4 bedded HDU
Holding biweekly outpatient clinics both face to face and virtual group sessions
Working on the 4 bedded inpatient paediatric oncology shared care unit and supporting the oncology MDT

You will support the nutritional management children referred to the service by providing specialist advice, education and support to patients, careers and other professionals both within and outside the hospital. This post is accountable to the Head of Nutrition and Dietetics
