Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paediatric Audiologist to step into a leadership role within our dynamic and fast-paced paediatric audiology team.
This position involves providing clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team comprising audiologists, audiology assistants, and administrative staff. The successful candidate will also collaborate closely with a range of professionals, including Teachers of the Hearing Impaired, ENT consultants, and referrers across the region, to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.
The role involves conducting both routine and complex paediatric hearing assessments, including newborn evaluations as part of the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme (NHSP), as well as hearing aid fittings. Responsibilities also include carrying out clinical audits, observing and supporting staff development, representing the audiology department in external meetings, and assisting in the overall management of the service in the absence of the Head of Service.
CHFT is an integrated Trust of 6,500+ colleagues providing hospital and community services to patients and communities across Calderdale and Kirklees. We are rated as ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission, are a top performing Trust for Elective Recovery, Emergency and Cancer Care and widely acknowledged as a national digital lead when it comes to caring for people across our local and regional systems.
Our people are at the core of everything we do, hence our commitment to One Culture of Care. Our focus is to care for and support each other in order to provide outstanding compassionate care to our patients. That is why we are looking for an inclusive collaborative, creative, innovative and compassionate leader to join us in this role.
