Would you like to progress your clinical skills and professional career in paediatrics? Are you looking for a role that offers flexible working to coincide with your home life?
We have an exciting opportunity for a band 6 or experienced band 5 OT to join our amazing integrated therapy team. This role can be offered as a band 6 post or as a band 5/6 development post, for band 5 applicants who are working towards gaining their competencies in paediatrics.
As a Children’s OT, you will be part of the Children and Young People’s Integrated Therapy team under the direction of a Band 7 therapist. There will also be opportunities to shadow therapists in various settings, attend training sessions and develop your knowledge and skills within the wider school age therapy team.
As a CYPIT Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for the planning and management of your own school-age caseload and service delivery using an impact-based model of clinical decision making.
This role includes supporting children who attend mainstream schools, special schools and specialist resources in West Berkshire.

Our CYPIT service supports children and young people from birth to 19 years of age across Berkshire. We’re an integrated therapy service, committed to impact-based clinical decision making and co-production of therapy plans with our families and partners.
Provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental / complex needs.
Opportunity to work alongside, and learn from Sensory Integration trained therapists.
Be involved in the implementation of training packages.
Function as a specialist autonomous clinician, supporting delivery of the CYPIT model, development of the CYPF and provide support to more junior staff.
Contribute to defined projects and service development initiatives as requested.
Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.

Responsibilities
  1. Qualified band 5 or 6 Occupational Therapist, registered with HCPC.
  2. Experience (including placement experience) in working with children or adults with complex or neurological needs.
  3. Car driver with ability and readiness to travel to multiple sites.
