Susanne Nelson and Associates (SNAA) is a leading, Melbourne-based private occupational therapy practice, specialising in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorders and children with Attention Deficit Disorders and Developmental delays.
One of the first 100% outreach companies to exist in Melbourne dedicating its support to children within mainstream schools, SNAA is seeking a paediatric occupational therapist to join a busy, passionate, and energetic team of OTs. • Starting rate per hour $105 including superannuation up to Senior Associate rate per hour of $135 including superannuation.
  • Opportunity for an experienced therapist, when time is suitable, to supervise junior Associates (supervisory rates including superannuation, are separate to therapy rates).
  • Training and ongoing in-house professional support, supervision and mentoring offered from highly experienced OTs. Each staff member has their own mentor / supervisor, regardless of experience, and support offered by both Directors throughout the week when required.
  • Ongoing support regarding the navigation of NDIS, Medicare, working in schools, SNAA’s Needs Assessment Process, and neurodiverse / Autism & ADHD related topics, etc.
  • At SNAA, we are committed to teaching our therapists best practice based upon evidence-based intervention approaches and offer intensive supervision to new graduates. All staff, regardless of experience, receive ongoing supervision and mentoring.
  • Opportunities for networking with other leading industry professionals within the paediatric field (e.g., paediatricians, psychologists, and speech pathologists), and additional responsibilities within SNAA to continue to grow and develop career goals and aspirations.
  • Ability to incorporate own personal interests and skills into intervention and the SNAA service delivery model.
  • Comprehensive handover for any existing clientele, support with new clients, full administration support included (e.g., client referrals, invoicing, management of accounts, etc).

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current working with children’s check / Australian national police check (SNAA fully subsidises).
  • Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
  • Enthusiasm and passion to work with autistic children and children with an ADHD.
  • Ability and interest working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Full registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
