REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Minimum 3 years experience working as a Speech Pathologist
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • NDIS worker’s screening check
  • Working With Children check
  • Strong understanding of language development, speech disorders, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children and their families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on the latest research and practices in speech pathology.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Speech Pathologist with a passion for early intervention and parent/carer education and training to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work with children of various ages who are presenting with communication and feeding difficulties. Your expertise will contribute to assessments, treatment plans, and interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. Collaborating closely with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals, you will play a crucial role in advocating for children’s communication needs and helping them achieve their full potential. This position demands strong clinical skills, a wealth of experience in speech pathology, and a passion for working with children in a supportive and nurturing environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments in the areas of speech, language, social communication, AAC, and feeding.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessments results and family input.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to enhance communication and feeding skills.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and educators in order to support children’s communication and feeding needs across all environments.
  • Monitor and document each child’s progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve therapy goals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and share insights about children’s progress.
  • Develop comprehensive written summary reports to inform provision of future supports.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver positive outcomes that align with clients’ goals
