SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrollment in Civil Engineering Degree program from an Accredited Institution
  • Relevant internships or coop experience considered an asset
  • Strong work ethic and motivation to succeed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be well organized to be able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
Responsibilities
  • Assist with end-to-end design process utilizing Civil 3D for a variety of municipal and infrastructure planning projects
  • Participate in full-service design of Civil/Municipal engineering projects
  • Storm water management, site grading, sanitary sewer and water distribution system design
  • Interpret topographic information required for design
  • Complete the technical analysis of municipal infrastructure components
  • Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates
  • Compile as-built records for design and record drawings
  • Assist with contract documents for project tendering and execute project design drawings
  • Prepare storm water management quantity and quality calculations
  • Assist in coordination of design with consultant team including but not limited to electrical engineer, traffic consultant, environmental engineer and geotechnical engineer.
