To be eligible, you must be in good academic standing, pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering and be able to provide proof of Enrollment Documentation including your GPA. What You Will Do: • Assist with inspection and inventory of new and existing highway lighting, overhead signs, sign supports and signalized intersections. • Use CADD software to create and update pavement marking drawings of ODOT maintained intersections. • Establish an understanding of Centracs Traffic Management Software by monitoring traffic signals while converting and updating signal timing sheet records. • Develop an understanding of ODOT work zone management standards and specifications while keeping inspection and maintenance records current. This program gives a new engineer the on-the-job experience, continued education through training and seminars offered at ODOT and the ability to work with Professional Engineers leading towards the requirements necessary in obtaining their P.E. certification.
