The company buys, sells, and processes nonferrous metals and electronics scrap worldwide utilizing established partnerships with end consumers in the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. www.intercojobs.com Job Description Interco has an opening for a Spring Logistics Intern in the company’s Logistics department. The Logistics Intern will assist the Logistics Coordinators with booking domestic inbound freight. The right candidate will be interested in the fast-paced world of logistics and global supply chain. The Logistics Intern is responsible for entering data into the company’s TMS, taking direction from senior logistics team members, and following direction as needed. Qualifications Responsibilities Include: Schedule appointments with clients and carriers Coordinate schedule on facility calendars Ensure carrier information is up to date Add new carriers as needed Manage data in the transportation management system (TMS) Monitor and follow up on loads matching expected ETAs, BOLs, and packing lists Perform other related duties as assigned, supporting the broader logistics team Qualifications: Previous experience in logistics is a plus Proficient in relevant software and tools (MS Office) with a willingness to learn new systems as needed Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing situations Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related field or equivalent experience is preferred Additional Information Compensation: Pay rate: $15 / hour Operating hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM.
