REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a painter & decorator, with additional handyman/carpentry skills.
• Ability to work independently and to deadlines.
• High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship.
• Understanding of health & safety requirements on site.
• Own tools desirable (but not essential).
• Own vehicle and drivers license desirable (but not essential)
• Must be reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy Painter & Decorator with handyman skills to join our team in refurbishing void properties and bringing them up to Decent Homes Standard, ready for re-occupation. The first assignment will be the refurbishment of a 3-bedroom house, starting in early September, with potential for further ongoing work.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out full internal and external decorations, including surface preparation, painting, and finishing to a high standard.
• Undertake minor carpentry and handyman tasks, such as repairing skirting boards, fitting door furniture, and making good.
• Prepare void properties for re-occupation in line with Decent Homes standards.
• Work safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.
• Liaise with supervisors and team members to ensure works are completed on time.
• Maintain good communication and professionalism when working on-site.
