We are growing and seeking a Paint Line Lead to support our 3rd shift operations in Waupaca, WI. location! Summary Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, and in addition to the regular duties of general labor/paint, the Paint Line Lead is responsible for overseeing the Paint line employees, ensuring that goals and objectives are met while meeting all quality and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. * Works closely and oversees the Paint Line team, ensuring quality standards and production goals are met. * Trains and mentor employees; assigs and directs work; provides input for performance appraisals; addresses complaints and resolves problems. * Reviews daily work orders provided by Production Control and plans and distributes work accordingly * Creates a daily paint schedule according to the priority of the work order, paint color and other factors * Tests washing tank water regularly to ensure pH and chemical levels are correct, and completes related documentation * Adjust temperature/speed of the oven (depending on the equipment at each location) based on the dimension and type of parts being painted * Coordinates with Shipping and Fabrication departments to ensure optimal flow of materials * Manage any unexpected changes and adjust paint schedules if needed * Uses forklifts to move materials around the plant if needed * Inspect painted parts regularly and checks for defects * Completes and maintains any required paperwork, records and documents * Checks work area for hazards * Comply with safety regulations and always wear appropriate PPE * Leaves work area in a clean/safe state when shift is complete * Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or another operational leader Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
