Description Job Overview The Packer/unloader is responsible receiving freshly painted items from the paint line, inspecting them for quality, properly packaging them according to specifications, and preparing them for shipping, often by loading them onto pallets or into containers, while ensuring proper labeling and quantity control within a fast-paced manufacturing environment; this role typically involves repetitive tasks and requires good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Duties and Responsibilities: Removing finished painted parts from the conveyor belt of the paint line. Visually checking painted parts for defects like scratches, paint runs, or inconsistencies. Placing parts into appropriate packaging materials boxes based on product specifications. Affixing proper labels with relevant information like product code, batch number, and quantity. Arranging packaged parts on pallets in a secure and organized manner. Maintaining accurate counts of packaged items and reporting any discrepancies. Keeping the work area clean and ensuring proper functioning of packaging equipment. Requirements Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items repeatedly in a fast paced environment. Precisely placing items into packaging materials. Identifying minor defects in painted parts and ensuring proper packaging. Counting and verifying quantities. Adhering to established packaging procedures and quality standards. Basic understanding of production line operations Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Previous manufacturing experience helpful but not required Physical Requirements: Ability to unload a variety of parts in all shapes and sizes above shoulders and down to 12” from the floor repetitively for entire shift, excluding breaks and lunches Ability to lift and maneuver heavy all-welded lockers and other parts Prolonged periods of standing and walking
