Okie Staffing has a position open for a Paint Prep Technician for a reputable aviation manufacturing company. This is a long-term temporary position with the potential to convert to full-time for the right candidate. This role focuses on preparing aircraft components for the paint process. If you have strong attention to detail and a solid work history, this is a great entry point into the aerospace industry. Location: Jenks, OK Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM OR 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Pay: $16.00 – $18.00/hour (DOE) Overtime: As required What You’ll Be Doing Tape and mask parts prior to painting Prepare surfaces for paint (cleaning, sanding, prepping) Handle small aircraft components with care and precision Follow safety procedures including proper use of PPE (respirator when required) Support production team to ensure parts are ready for finishing What We’re Looking For High School Diploma or GED (required for future conversion) Good, stable work history (required) Ability to work with hands and follow detailed instructions Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment Light experience with hand tools preferred (not required) Previous production or prep experience is a plus, but not required Must be able to pass a DOT Drug Screen (UA) Ability to wear a respirator when needed Must be dependable and safety-focused Entry into the aviation/aerospace industry Temp-to-hire potential based on performance Consistent daytime schedule Opportunity to learn valuable production skills
