We’re seeking a Prep Paint Technician who’s passionate about craftsmanship, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Requirements Key Responsibilities Prepare metal components for painting by grinding, sanding, smoothing, and cleaning surfaces to meet finish standards. Perform industrial painting on parts and equipment per customer specifications and quality requirements. Apply primers, coatings, and finishes using spray, brush, or roll techniques as appropriate. Inspect completed work for surface defects, thickness, and color consistency to ensure flawless results. Maintain and clean painting equipment, spray guns, and work areas to uphold safety and performance standards. Follow detailed blueprints, work orders, and paint specifications to ensure accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with Machine Build and Maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of projects. What We’re Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Experience or willingness to learn industrial painting techniques and equipment maintenance. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and comfortable working in varying temperatures and around mechanical equipment. Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused. Schedule Full-time: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (40 hours per week). Compensation & Benefits At Orbitform, we invest in our people.
