Summary: Paint Technician position is responsible for various paint prep processes. Primarily responsible for the masking/taping of product prior to the finishing process. Position is geared towards developing skill sets to be a manufacturing painter Responsibilities: Apply tape and protective paper to product parts that should be exempt of paint. De-masking painted parts by removing tape Place plugs in holes of metal parts to prevent paint from entering Sanding metal parts of imperfections Learning Powder and/or liquid Painting techniques under supervision Perform quality inspections of product being prepared Keep inventory of the various masking products (tape, protective paper, etc.) Other duties as assigned Requirements: High School or GED diploma Ability to read specific directions related to the product mix Manual dexterity Troubleshooting skills Ability to work as part of a team Adaptable to various situations Communication and organizational skills Self-motivated and able to work independently Ability to show enthusiasm and desire to attain manufacturing painter skills Physical Demands and Work Environment:This position will work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and related noise levels. Position will be frequently required to walk, stand, bend, squat, and otherwise move continuously throughout shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
