POSITION SUMMARY The Paint Technician is responsible for paint application to fabricated items. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prep all painted surfaces so that the paint can adhere to the metal surface Apply paint to customer specifications, paying close attention to application technique so that paint does not run or pool Clean and maintain paint equipment A willingness to cross train and assist in other shop functions as needed Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES Prep all painted surfaces so that the paint can adhere to the metal surface Apply paint to customer specifications, paying close attention to application technique so that paint does not run or pool Clean and maintain paint equipment A willingness to cross train and assist in other shop functions as needed QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS COMPETENCIES Ability to use paint sprayer in a clean and orderly fashion EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent 1 year plus in a paint facility PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift 50lbs frequently Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking/sitting Manual dexterity and mobility Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching Visual and auditory acuity WORKING CONDITIONS Fabrication shop Manual work 3pm - 12am, Mon.-Thur.
