About Us:
Advanced Timber Finishing offers more than 30 years’ experience providing spray painting and French polishing services to custom joinery companies, shop fitters, manufacturers and more. We provide 2-pack finish spray painting services in Sydney. We are currently seeking a skilled, qualified and experienced Painter to join our growing team. This is a full-time position with an average of 38 hours each week.This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects while delivering high-quality craftsmanship to our valued clients.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Must have trade qualification (Painter) ( The qualification will be sighted at the time of interview)
• Current Driver’s License.
• Construction Induction Card (White)
• Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment safely.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• Professional presentation and attitude.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

· Safety procedures knowledge

• Positive, can do attitude and enjoy working in inclusive team
• Valid Australian Driving License and transport desirable

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
• Prepare surfaces for painting through washing, scraping, sanding, or other methods.
• Mix and match paint and finishes to achieve desired colours and textures.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment by following all safety policies.
• Dismantle, clean, and store paint spraying equipment as needed.
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
• Apply varnish and other finishes
• Calculate costs and negotiate prices
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
• Follow safety procedures, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
