Job Description We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Painter/Prepper to join our professional painting team at Kidco Construction. Kidco Construction operates one of the largest paint shops in Calgary. We maintain the finish on our fleet of over 750 pieces of heavy equipment across the city, along with customer equipment. In this role, you will prepare heavy construction equipment for painting and apply high-quality finishes using professional spray applications. The ideal candidate brings a keen eye for detail, the ability to follow technical instructions precisely, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional quality work. Responsibilities * 2+ years of paint-prepping and spraying experience on heavy equipment or automobiles is required * Preparing surfaces of heavy equipment for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks as needed. * Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. * Support the painting and restoration of over 750 pieces of company-owned heavy equipment, ensuring they look their best. * Perform touch-ups and repairs to maintain the aesthetic appeal and functionality of equipment. * Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during painting projects. * Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and provide exceptional support. * Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
