Painter Must be able to prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting, and paint equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas using a spray gun, brush, and rollers. Other duties may be assigned. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: * Reads work orders and receives instructions verbally. * Prepare the surface using methods appropriate to remove dirt, oil, and grease, removing old paint, smoothing cracks, coating, and filling holes. * Work at heights with no fear. * May fill cavities and dents with putty to attain a smooth surface. * Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce the desired color, according to specifications using a paddle or mechanical mixer. * May erect scaffolding or set up a ladder to perform tasks above ground level. * Apply paint to the surface using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller. * Other duties as assigned. * Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
