POSITION SUMMARY: The Painter B position has the responsibility to work safely, maintain a positive attitude, be respectful to all and focus efforts and abilities towards building a quality product in the time allocated. This position is responsible for assisting in powder coating boats and boat parts. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepares parts for coating. Follows principles and practices of powder coating. Operates all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems. Observes machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects. Determines paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality. Ensure all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals. Loads and unloads parts or product onto fixtures. Maintains maintenance and cleaning of equipment. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED. EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: Ability to use hand tools Ability to work in team setting or independently Ability to understand processes and instructions Ability to wear PPE Ability to work under boat Ability to read tape measurements Ability to read and follow standard operations processes Ability to cross train TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: N/A PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light lifting, under 20 lbs.
