OVERVIEW:

Assist the superintendent and GF’s in developing the daily, weekly and three-week look ahead schedule from the project master schedule.

EDUCATION:

Must be able to read and understand safety instructions, signs and labels; be able to follow instructions, both verbally and written; and pass a craft-specific test.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of five (5) years experience as a painter craftsman and five (5) years as a painter foreman in refinery, chemical, petrochemical, or similar industrial plant construction or maintenance, performing the work described herein. Must be able to perform work within precise limits or standards of accuracy, make decisions based on measured criteria, read and understand drawings and specifications, visualize objects in three dimensions from flat drawings, read, understand and communicate safety instructions, signs and labels, be able to follow and communicate instructions, both verbally and written; and pass a craft-specific test.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Please use bulleted list):

• Develop daily/weekly work plan from schedule and distribute to superintendent and GF’s for review and execution.
• Perform quantity take offs.
• Develop productivity trends based on capture of actual labor expended against measured labor earned from quantity installation.
• Perform audits, both field and office, of installed quantities, integrity of takeoffs, accuracy of coding schemes, system identifiers, etc.
• Develop quantity/labor forecasts.
• Distribute work plan to other crafts and management to insure no interferences.
• Review master schedule and three-week look ahead schedule to insure compliance.
• Measure progress based on actual installations.
• Insure materials are available for weekly plan.
• Communicate changes in work from other crafts to superintendent to compliment work.
• Update three week look-a-head schedule and present to superintendent for review and comment. Distribute to GF’s after superintendent’s approval.
• Develop and perform interfaces of data between Project Systems.
• Interface with all facets of Project Controls in a team effort of managing the project.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to effectively verbally communicate directions from craft supervisors and respond to questions from clients, managers and fellow workers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
