PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Automotive Painter will prep, mask, match color and paint vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications.  The Painter plays a key role in delivering our Collision promise of speed, quality, and customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/DUTIES: * Check body work and primer repair areas. * Paint surfaces after performing body repairs. * Communicate directly with the Estimator on any parts and additional supplies needed. * Maintenance of the Spray Booth, mixing room, compressors, and dryers. * Keep company in good standing with EPA standards. * Keeps personal work area organized. * Oversees the paint prep department. * Give direction to ensure quality and accomplish daily goals. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  * Knowledge of manufacturers’ repair processes. * Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:  * Extended periods of standing. * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.  * May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, high levels of dust and noise in repair center. * Must be able to wear protective equipment, including respirator.
