Description Position: Painter Deneen Pottery is a 50-year-old family-owned and operated company responsible for making the highest quality handmade mugs on the planet with an eco-friendly approach. Our green initiatives include installing a 399-rooftop solar array and setting up a waste reduction program that includes company-wide composting. We believe that work should be sustainable, rewarding, and (dare we say it) even fun sometimes. Monthly updates are given by our president, and we have a self-funding profit-sharing program with quarterly payouts. Deneen Pottery is looking for a Painter to join our team. Requirements INSPECT AND CLEAN MUGS - Pull orders as directed by the Glaze Lead and clean any sharp objects off the mugs. Clean the mugs and let the Glaze Lead know if you see any flaws or cracking. Remakes/defects may need to be remade. PAINT MUG MEDALLIONS - Review special instructions for each work order if there are any. Paint medallions on the mug with the correct slip color to quality standards. Move the completed boards to the prep area for the Glaze Dept. Record completed work orders in File Maker timely. Ensure painting goals are met. QUALITY CHECK MUGS - Review mugs to make sure to correct color and coverage has been applied to each mug. Notify Lead if there are issues that cannot be corrected. WORKSTATION MAINTENANCE - Keep your workstation organized and clean, place waste in the correct buckets. Requirements This is an entry-level position; prior experience is a plus. Must have hand and eye coordination. Accuracy and attention to detail is required. Must be able to enter daily production information into the computer. A high school diploma or GED is a plus.
