JOB DESCRIPTION
- Reports directly to the Chief Engineer and to the Assistant Chief Engineer
- All work related to the qualifications required for this position includes both the hotel and residence buildings.
- Must be available to work flexible hours and make scheduling changes according to the needs of the hotel.
- Must be able to work well in an unsupervised environment, and also within a team.
- Must be familiar with WHIMIS regulations and adhere to the safety standards of the department.
- Ensuring adherence to all environmental practices within the Hotel and the Food & Beverage Department
- Repair cracks and holes
- Knowledge of mudding and taping.
- Mix paint to desired color and texture
- Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and/or exterior
- Be able to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Journeyman Painter qualifications preferred but not essential.
- Must be able to complete drywall repairs, mudding, painting, staining, wall paper and stipple work.
- Must have hand tool requirements as listed in the Letter of Agreement B Local 4325A
- Must have a valid class 5 Alberta Operators License
- Must be familiar with the ordering process of the paints
- Must be able to calculate the paint or wall paper required per job
