Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: Belpre - Belpre, OH 45714 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Job Shift: Day Job Category: Manufacturing Position Overview: Responsible for taping, sanding, and priming various oil and gas units. Apply precision spray coatings on all equipment and manufactured units in a manner consistent with Government, Customer and Company Specifications. Other related duties as assigned. Essential Job Functions: Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible Must use all necessary personal protective equipment to safely meet job expectations and statutory compliance requirements. Proficient skills in commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in paint application Loading paint and rust proofing agents into spray equipment Connecting hoses to spray equipment and adjusting spray nozzles to required pressure Securing items to be sprayed within spray booths Directing spray guns to apply even coatings Starting and monitoring extractor and drying fans, and heaters Cleaning nozzles, containers and hoses of equipment May mix coating solutions and regulate their temperature Maintain a clean and orderly material room and inventory log. Assist with storage, labeling and disposal of hazardous waste as requested Proficient in surface preparation work prior to painting such as grinding, sanding, applying masking take over parts and areas that are not to be coated, if necessary Proficient skills in operation of cranes, forklifts and other equipment used in material handling process Support the efforts of Lean projects and Continuous Improvement teams Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirement Need minimal instructions of pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job Qualifications Basic Qualification: High School Diploma, equivalent, or two (2) years work experience. Requires a minimum of two years of experience in the application of paint Working knowledge of different paint systems and components Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered. Preferred Qualification: High School Diploma or Equivalent A minimum of 2-3 years experience in painting industrial equipment Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Other Skills/Abilities: Good written/oral communication skills and interpersonal skills Knowledge of machines, tools, their uses benefits, and maintenance Set up all paint jobs to include material handling, mixing, maintenance and clean up.
