Description
SAIC has an opening for a Paint Technician / Paint Prep in Indianapolis, IN. JOB DUTIES: Perform sanding, blending, shaping, cleaning, masking, and other tasking related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for military coating finishes. Work with basic measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers daily. Working as a team and individually towards a common goal with clear communication efforts. Follow standard and common shop processes to perform work tasking but also be able to 'adapt and overcome' when appropriate. Follow ISO9000 and AS9100 standard processes and procedures. Job tracking, data entry, and paperwork as deemed necessary. Project scheduling and demands are fluid thus tasking may deviate when necessary. Follow corporate and local office policies and procedures including but not limited to; daily timecard recording and Email checks. WORK WEEK: Monday-Friday, 40 hour week, 8 hours per day. Potential for other shift opportunities. EDUCATION EXPERIENCE: HS/GED and 2 years of experience or Bachelor's degree and zero (0). BASIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGMENT REQUIRMENTS: Previous experience performing sanding, blending, cleaning, masking, or other tasking related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for paint finishes. Experience as a technician working in a manufacturing/industrial/shop environment is also accepted. Experience with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers. Basic computer skills are a must (Logging in, Email, Timecard entry, Job tracking, etc.) This employment includes a 120-day probationary period. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: U.S. citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance; New Hire employee will be required to submit background information necessary for security clearance evaluation.
